We are the 3rd generation of a family company who have produced the highest quality duplex self-adhesive decals / transfers for over 80 years. My husband's grandfather, Reg Harrison and his partner Oliver Axon moved to Jersey in the 1920s and established the business, Decalcomania was at its height.
They created a revolutionary new way to apply "Varnish Mount" decals when they invented their own adhesive which could be printed onto the design and activated by using a hot sponge. No need to apply the decals using "gold size" or other adhesives!
The rose designs were originally exported to the Caribbean to decorate bedsteads, and a world-wide trade developed. Creating French Style Shabby Chic is very much in vogue again and the results that can be achieved with our decals are stunning. Because our designs are produced from original hand stippled artwork from the 1920/1930s they give a truly authentic look to any item. |
