We accept PayPal payments payable to optiwire@gmail.com only. PayPal is the fastest and safest way to pay via internet using your debit or credit card, 3V, Payzone, Entropay or your bank account. We do not accept direct bank transfers, cheques, postal orders or international money orders. For alternative ways to pay for our products, please contact us on optiwire@gmail.com
2. How safe are my personal details and credit card information?
The security of our customers’ details is a number one priority for us. We work with a fully integrated and secure eBay checkout process. All payment details are secure at all times
3. Am I eligible for a VAT refund and what do I need to do to obtain one?
VAT refund for overseas business elsewhere in the EU
OPTIWIRE may refund VAT charged to you provided:
• Your business has a valid EU (excluding Ireland) VAT registration number.
• Within 3 months after the purchase date you either bring the goods back to your country OR arrange for the goods to be shipped by a freight forwarding company there.
You need to provide OPTIWIRE with your VAT number at the point of sale and provide the following evidence within 6 months from the date the item was purchased:
If you are travelling back with the goods yourself:
• The name of the authorised representative collecting the goods.
• Your overseas address where the goods are to be delivered.
• The vehicle registration number of the transport used.
• Name and signature of the driver.
• Copy of travel tickets.
• Name of Ferry Company, port of departure and date of sailing.
If you are arranging for the goods to be shipped by a freight forwarder:
A copy of the carrier’s invoice or consignment note, supported by evidence that the goods have been removed from Ireland within 3 months after the purchase date. The evidence needs to identify:
• The name, address of the hauler collecting the goods*
• The name and signature of the driver collecting the goods*
• The registration number of the vehicle collecting the goods*
• The vehicle registration numbers of the vehicles transporting the goods.
• You as the customer.
• Sufficient details of the items shipped to show that they are those which you have bought from OPTIWIRE E.G ‘4 server racks` or ‘items per [order no.]’ – vague descriptions such as ‘cables’ or ‘computer components’ are not sufficient.
• The address the goods were shipped to.
• The mode of transport and route of the movement.
• The name and address of ferry or shipping company and date of sailing or airway number and airport.
• Trailer and container numbers (if applicable).
*If the goods are removed from Ireland by a different hauler, vehicle or driver then the name and address of that different hauler, the name and signature of that different driver and the registration number of that different vehicle will also be required.
VAT refunds for exports outside of the EU
OPTIWIRE may refund VAT charged to you provided:
• You or your business are resident outside the EU.
• Your business (applicable only where goods are purchased in the name of the business) is not registered for VAT in Ireland.
• Within 3 months after the purchase date you arrange for the goods to be shipped to a destination outside the EU.
You need to provide OPTIWIRE with your VAT number and the following evidence within 6 months from the date the item was purchased:
• Evidence of residency outside Ireland (E.G solicitor certification of residency status, copy of work permit, combination of copy of passport and utility bill/bank statement)
• Evidence of transport of goods outside the EU within 3 months after the purchase date (E.G Master or authenticated sea- or air-waybills, other certificates of shipment).
To be sufficient evidence, the document needs to show:
• The consignor.
• You as the customer.
• Sufficient details of the items shipped to show that they are those which you have bought from OPTIWIRE E.G ‘4 server racks` or ‘items per [order no.]’ – vague descriptions such as ‘cables’ or ‘computer components’ are not sufficient.
• The destination outside the EU of the export.
• The date and mode of transport and route of the export movement.
• Container number.

4. What is the standard warranty for the items sold?
Standard warranty on all products is one year and provided by OPTIWIRE however some products are covered for longer periods by Manufacturers warranty, please, contact us via email: optiwire@gmail.com or you can speak to an OPTIWIRE eBay Shop advisor by calling 059 919 3286 or from outside Ireland +353 59 919 3286 in order to check warranty for specific products if you are looking for longer than 1 year cover.
5. Where are OPTIWIRE products manufactured?
Most products we sell have been produced in China. Delock, Roline and other suppliers are based in EU and most of the items are designed in EU as well but manufacturing is outsourced to China.

8. How many products are in the OPTIWIRE product range?
By the end of 2013 we will have around 35000 items on sale
9. How much do you charge for a delivery?
Standard delivery is already included in the products price and priority delivery with insurance and tracking is 7 euro extra for the first product and 3.50 for any additional items.
10. How long do I need to wait for a delivery?
99% of all local deliveries arrive the next day, UK delivery usually takes 2 days, Europe mainland delivery will take around 2 sometimes 3 day, same for US and Canada, up to 7 days for Australia, Asia and everywhere else. 11. What do I do if I need my item delivered tomorrow?
Residents of Ireland can avail of Get-It-Fast option for guaranteed next day signed delivery. Get-It-Fast price is 10 euro for the first item and 5 euro for each additional item and is paid at check out.
11. How do I track a delivery of my item?
If you have opted for tracking, you will receive an eBay message after your item was shipped with tracking information, details and instructions.
12. What do I do if I need an invoice for my goods?

14. What happens, if I was unable to collect my parcel or due to some other reasons it came back to OPTIWIRE?

Please, let us know and we will get the stock in as soon as we can and will also have no difficulty signing on new suppliers in order to provide products you are looking to buy. |
